About 50 units were sold in the United States, and about 10 were sold in Canada. The regulators were distributed through independent diving stores nationwide and online at tecdivegear.com from February 2019 through October 2022, priced between $600 and $800. The regulator was manufactured by XDEEP of Poland and imported by Tec Dive Gear LLC of Jackson, New Jersey.

The firm has received one report of a broken turret connection screw, but no injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled scuba regulators. Contact XDEEP for a full refund or free replacement (the replacement includes a different model). Consumers can return the regulator to the place of purchase or contact Tec Dive Gear to obtain a parcel label for free return. 1st Stage is contacting all known purchasers.
