HEAD Watersports is recalling approximately 1,105 Apeks second stage scuba regulators, specifically models XL4, XL4+, and XL4 Ocea. These regulators were sold between April 2025 and June 2026 in various colors, including black, white, gray, mint, and yellow.

The recalled units have serial numbers ranging from 250402212 to 260402893. The serial number is laser-etched on the side of the regulator and is also located on the shipping carton.

The regulators can restrict airflow to the user at depths exceeding 45 meters (approximately 147 feet), which poses a risk of serious injury or death from drowning. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should stop using the recalled regulators immediately. They can take the product to any HEAD Watersports Authorized Retailer to have the valve spindle assembly replaced at no cost.
