The sealant comes in a 2.5-ounce amber glass bottle with "Headlight Sealant" in black lettering on a yellow background, and "Heavy Duty" and "Meguiar's" printed on the label. About 140,000 units are affected.

The product contains low-viscosity hydrocarbons, which are required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA) to be in child-resistant packaging. The packaging for these products does not meet federal child-resistant packaging requirements, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled sealant was sold at Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, O'Reilly Auto Parts, and Walmart stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com and other websites from January 2022 through August 2022 for about $30.
