H-E-B is recalling approximately 2.5 million GTC halogen light bulbs sold in packages of 2 or 4. The bulbs were sold in 25, 40, 60, 75, or 100 watt varieties in clear or soft white colors. The product was sold at H-E-B stores in Texas or online from August 2015 to December 2017.

The recall is being issued because the light bulbs can shatter while in use in a lamp or light fixture, posing laceration and fire hazards to consumers. The firm has received 14 reports of the bulbs shattering. One consumer reported a cut on his hand, and another reported a burn to his hand and cuts on his foot.
