The recall involves five models with part numbers TP16002, TP16022, TP16023, TP16122, and TP16307. These black, round boxes are used to support ceiling light fixtures and were sold at electrical supply stores and to commercial contractors nationwide from December 2012 to April 2013 for between $1.50 and $4.
The recalled ceiling boxes can crack, which may cause the attached light fixture to fall from the ceiling. This poses an impact hazard to consumers. Cooper Crouse-Hinds is aware of one instance of a ceiling box cracking, but no injuries have been reported.
