These numbers appear only on the back of the packaging in the lower right-hand corner, not on the lamps themselves.

The recall is due to a short circuit in the lamp's wiring, which poses a shock hazard to consumers. The company is aware of at least 39 reports of short circuits, including three reports of shock, one report of a minor burn to a consumer's finger, and two reports of minor property damage.

The lamps were sold at West Elm retail stores nationwide, via catalogs, and on westelm.com from March 2011 through November 2011 for about $250. Consumers should immediately stop using the lamp and return it to West Elm for a full store credit.
