The recall is due to a choking hazard: metal snaps on the vests can detach from the garment. The vests were sold online at www.childrensplace.com in September 2010 for about $20. The vests have a label sewn to the inside side seam of the lining with number #587754 printed on it. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Customers who purchased the recalled product online should return the vest(s) for a full refund. The company will mail a postage-paid envelope with instructions for the return.
