Saks Incorporated is recalling approximately 14,500 boys' vests due to a choking hazard. The recalled items are red nylon and blue fleece reversible zippered vests sold in toddler sizes 2T through 4T. They were sold under the URIT and Parisian Kids brands and feature black and white checkered elastic toggles on the ends of the zipper pulls.

The elastic toggle cords on the zipper pulls can loosen and come off, which poses a choking hazard to young children. Saks has received one report of a toggle coming off, but no injuries have been reported. The recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.

The vests were sold nationwide from July 2000 through January 2001 for about $24 at department stores including Parisian, Carson Pirie Scott, Younkers, McRae's, Proffitt's, Bergner's, Herberger's, and Boston Store.
