The recall is due to a laceration hazard. The upper portion of the frame can collapse after both locking pins are removed, posing a risk of injury. Dick's Sporting Goods has received three reports of finger and hand laceration injuries associated with the product.

The Power Bolt Y-Frame Pitchback was sold at Dick's Sporting Goods retail stores nationwide and on its website from November 2002 to July 2007 for about $70. The products were manufactured by Hierarch Enterprises Co. of China. Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact Dick's Sporting Goods to receive a free repair kit.
