The recall involves approximately 125,000 units of the Lazy Lounger chair (Style # CEH00415), recliner (Style # CEH00320), and oversize recliners (Style # CEH00414, CEH00345, and CEH00443). These products were manufactured by Rankam Group Ltd. of China and sold for between $40 and $80. The chairs feature a mesh covering attached to a black or tan metal frame by woven cord, with a padded headrest pillow sewn onto the mesh.
The recall is due to a hazard where the plastic support brackets can break, causing the chairs and recliners to collapse. Dick's Sporting Goods has received 19 reports of the furniture collapsing, which resulted in 17 injuries involving lacerations and back pain. No deaths have been reported.
