The recall is due to a burn hazard. The pressure cooker's lid can open while its contents are under pressure, allowing hot contents to be expelled and causing burn injuries to bystanders. HSN has received two reports of injuries, which involve second and third degree burns to the upper arm and an unspecified burn injury.

The pressure cookers were sold on HSN's television network, website, through its toll-free number, and in an employee store in St. Petersburg, Florida, from June 2003 through October 2004 for about $90.
