DR Power Trimmer Mowers Recalled for Fire and Burn Hazards

DR Power Equipment is recalling approximately 42,860 Pilot and Premier walk-behind trimmer mowers sold in the United States and about 340 units sold in Canada. The recall is due to a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards, as grass and debris can accumulate in the mowers and ignite. The affected models are orange and black with the DR Power logo on the motor and frame, and are labeled “Premier” or “Pro” on the side of the frame. Model numbers T4X1076DMN and TR43076DMN are printed on a label on the side of the product’s frame.
The firm has received 19 reports of incidents involving the trimmer mowers catching fire, including two reports of minor injuries such as blisters on hands and feet. The mowers were sold at Ace, TSC, Bomgaars, other home improvement, hardware, and independent power equipment stores nationwide, as well as online at drpower.com, from November 2022 through July 2026 for between $380 and $550.
Consumers should stop using the recalled trimmer mowers immediately and contact DR Power Equipment for a free repair kit.
