Plain-English summary
DR Power Equipment is recalling about 60,250 walk-behind and tow-behind leaf vacuums sold from September 2014 through June 2025. The recalled units can have pieces come loose inside them or debris can pierce the chute, causing material to eject and creating a laceration hazard to users and bystanders.
The manufacturer has received 46 reports of loose pieces being ejected from the units. No injuries have been reported to date.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled leaf vacuums. DR Power Equipment is offering a free repair kit that includes a metal outer shield designed to bolt onto the existing chute. Installation instructions are included with the kit. Even consumers who received a repair kit from the original recall in May 2024 should contact the manufacturer for the updated remedy.
