Plain-English summary

Country Home Products Inc., d/b/a DR Power Equipment, is recalling certain DR walk-behind leaf blowers due to a projectile hazard. The recall includes the DR PREMIER 1200, DR PRO 2000, and DR PRO 2000SP models. The affected units are three-wheeled walk-behind blowers featuring an orange circular metal face with a black center and "DR" printed on the front. The specific model numbers involved are WB13010DMN, WB15020DMN, WB15020DEN, and WB17020DEN.

The hazard exists because the blades inside the leaf blower can break off and discharge from the unit, posing a risk of injury to the user or bystanders. The firm has received eight reports of blades breaking and discharging from the blowers, but no injuries have been reported.

About 100 units were sold nationwide through authorized DR Power Equipment dealers and online at www.drpower.com from September 2019 through November 2019 for between $800 and $1,700. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled leaf blowers and contact DR Power Equipment at 800-687-6575 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or via email or the company website, to receive a full refund.
