Rena Ware International Inc. is recalling approximately 700 Nutrex pressure cookers with model number 2153. The recalled units are silver with black handles and feature a blue gasket on the inside of the cover. The model number 2153.DW, production date, and "Rena Ware" are stamped on the bottom, while "DONG WON" is stamped on the main valve base and "DWM" on the gasket.

The recall is due to a burn hazard. The pressure cookers can discharge steam at lower pressures than intended. The company has received 13 reports of unintended depressurization, including five reported burn injuries.

The cookers were sold through Rena Ware sales representatives from December 2015 through June 2018 for between $750 and $820. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pressure cookers and contact Rena Ware for a free repair. The company is contacting all known purchasers directly.
