Plain-English summary
Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. is recalling approximately 2.3 million Christmas light sets due to a safety hazard. The recalled products include various indoor and outdoor mini, net, and icicle light sets sold at Hobby Lobby stores nationwide between June 2006 and early December 2006. The sets were priced between $2.50 and $10.00.
The hazard exists because the light sets contain undersized wires that can separate from the plugs and/or light sockets. This defect poses an electric shock and fire hazard to consumers. Consumers should stop using the recalled lights immediately. To obtain a remedy, consumers should return the light sets to the nearest Hobby Lobby store to receive a Hobby Lobby exchange card.
