Plain-English summary
Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. is recalling Little Wishes Chenille Stuffed Rattles, including the Pink & Green Fish (item number 5141577) and Blue & Yellow Fish (item number 5127642) models. The recall involves approximately 14,400 units of these soft chenille fabric rattles with fiber stuffing, which measure 8.5 inches by 7 inches and feature a hole cut out in the middle. The product hang tags display the item number in the top left corner, and the sewn-in labels include "Reg. No. PA-15130(CN)" and "Hobby Lobby 9123069". The rattles were manufactured in China.
The recall is due to a choking hazard. The seams on the rattles can separate, which exposes the internal fiber stuffing and the bell rattle. This separation creates a risk that the exposed components could be ingested by infants, leading to choking. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
The recalled rattles were sold at Hobby Lobby stores nationwide from January 2016 through April 2016 for approximately $7. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled rattles and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store for a full refund or store credit. For more information, consumers can contact Hobby Lobby Stores at 800-326-7931 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.hobbylobby.com and click on the "Recall" tab.
