Vehicle recalls in our database all come from NHTSA. They cover passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, tires, child safety seats, and motor-vehicle equipment. Each campaign is identified by an NHTSA Campaign Number (a string like 25V123000) and lists every make / model / year combination affected. The most common vehicle-recall categories are airbag and seatbelt failures (the consequence is non-deployment in a crash), fuel system defects with fire risk, steering or brake malfunctions, electrical defects in EVs that can cause battery thermal events, software bugs in driver-assist systems, and child-seat harness failures. Recalls for tires almost always relate to a tread-separation risk in a defined production date range.
Every NHTSA recall is mandatory for the manufacturer to remedy at no charge to the owner, with no expiration. If your vehicle has an open recall, your dealer is required to perform the remedy free of charge as long as the vehicle exists. Toyota is recalling certain 2018–2021 Lexus LS and LS Hybrid vehicles with the Executive Package because the front passenger seat occupant sensor may fail to detect a passenger, risking improper air bag deployment in a crash.
Forest River and Dynamax are recalling multiple 2018–2024 travel trailer models due to LED backlight circuit boards in cooktop ranges that may overheat and create a fire risk. Dealers will disconnect and remove the LED backlight wiring at no charge.
Tesla is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles because the accelerator pedal pad may dislodge and become trapped by the interior trim, potentially causing unintended acceleration and crash risk.
Kia is recalling certain 2023 Niro EV vehicles because differential gear bolts may not be properly tightened, potentially causing loss of drive power or differential lock-up, which can increase crash risk.

Ford is recalling certain 2024 Maverick vehicles due to incorrect tire and loading information labels. These incorrect labels may result in vehicle overload and increase crash risk.
Ford is recalling Bronco Sport and Maverick models due to control module defects that may fail to detect low battery charge, potentially disabling drive power and increasing crash risk. Dealers will provide free recalibration.
About 19,264 Intimidator and Mahindra UTVs are recalled because the universal joint can fail and sever the brake line, posing a crash hazard. No injuries have been reported. Owners should immediately stop using the vehicles and contact a dealer for free repair.
Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling certain 2022-2024 Allegro RED 360 and related motorhomes because the LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop may overheat, increasing fire risk. No fires or injuries have been reported.
