The rear brake caliper may crack near the primary pin casting during backwards rolling, which may cause the caliper to break when riding. Cracks or breaks in the rear brake caliper can reduce braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Affected vehicle identification numbers (VINs) will become searchable on NHTSA.gov starting July 15, 2026. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 2, 2026.

Owners may contact KTM and Husqvarna customer service at 1-888-985-6090. The remedy is free of charge: dealers will replace the rear brake caliper.
