KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles recalled for engine control software stalling defect

The recall affects approximately 6,546 motorcycles, including 2025 KTM 390 Duke, 390 SMC R, 390 Enduro R, 390 Adventure X, and 390 Adventure R models; 2024 KTM 390 Duke; and 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 models.

Loss of engine power while riding significantly increases the risk of a crash or rider injury.

Owners should contact their KTM or Husqvarna dealer to schedule a free software update to the engine control unit (ECU). KTM customer service can be reached at 1-888-985-6090. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 23, 2026. The manufacturer's recall numbers are KTB2513 (KTM) and HTB2508 (Husqvarna).
