Hyundai Tucson instrument panel displays may fail due to software error
Hyundai is recalling certain 2025-2026 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid vehicles because a software error may cause the instrument panel display to fail.

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2025-2026 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles under NHTSA campaign number 26V400000. The potential number of units affected is 96,310.
Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays." According to NHTSA, an instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
The instrument panel display software will be updated over the air or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 22, 2026.
