Hyundai Motor America is recalling approximately 41,000 model year 2016 Hyundai Tucson vehicles manufactured between May 20, 2015, and May 31, 2016. These vehicles are equipped with a 7-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission. The recall addresses a defect in the electrical system software.
Under certain driving conditions and high temperatures, repeatedly pressing and releasing the accelerator pedal may cause the vehicle to not move. The inability to move the vehicle while in traffic may increase the risk of a crash.
