Toyota Tundra engines may stall from manufacturing debris contamination
Toyota is recalling certain 2024 Tundra vehicles with the V35A engine because manufacturing debris may contaminate the engine and cause a main bearing to fail.

Debris from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause a main bearing to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
The recall applies to owners and operators of the affected model year. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on 6 July 2026. This recall expands previous NHTSA recalls 24V381 and 25V767.
The remedy is currently under development, and repairs will be performed free of charge once available. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331, quoting recall numbers 25TB14 and 25TA14.
