Roadtrek Recreational Vehicles Pop-Top Latch May Disengage During Transit
Certain 2022-2026 Roadtrek recreational vehicles have pop-top latches that may disengage during transit, potentially lifting or detaching the pop-top. Dealers will replace latches and safety straps at no charge.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This vehicle safety defect creates risk of harm: a detached pop-top during transit could cause a crash by distracting the driver or becoming a road hazard. The rubric applies—risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported.
Plain-English summary
Roadtrek is recalling certain 2022-2026 Westfalia Wave SL, Zion Slumber, Play Slumber, Play Tuff SL, Play+Slumber, and Pivot Slumber recreational vehicles. The primary pop-top latch may disengage during transit, allowing the pop-top to lift.
If the pop-top lifts while the vehicle is in motion, it can distract the driver. If the secondary safety straps also fail, the pop-top may detach entirely, increasing the risk of a crash.
Roadtrek began notifying owners by mail on May 20, 2026. The remedy is a free replacement of the primary latch and secondary safety straps by Roadtrek dealers. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873 or reference recall number 2026-01.
