Travel trailer patio door transit latch cannot be opened from inside
Forest River is recalling certain 2025-2026 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers because the exterior transit latch on the rear patio door cannot be unlocked from inside the vehicle.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: occupants cannot release the latch from inside, so a means of escape is unavailable in an emergency rather than merely degraded.
