Travel trailers may have been built without a secondary emergency exit

Forest River is recalling certain 2024-2025 Salem and Wildwood travel trailers that may not have a secondary emergency exit installed, which could prevent occupants escaping in an emergency.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: a required means of escape is absent altogether rather than degraded, so occupants may be unable to leave the trailer in an emergency.
