Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 model year AM Series Aerial Device vehicles. The recall addresses a defect where the emergency stop switch located at the turntable is inoperative when the upper controls interlock is active. This failure allows the upper and lower controls to remain powered even when the emergency stop is depressed.
An inoperative emergency stop switch increases the risk of injury. Altec will notify owners to inspect for the presence of an adapter harness. If the harness is installed, no further action is needed. If the harness is not installed, Altec will provide a kit to complete the repair free of charge.
