What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a safety-critical lighting defect that increases the risk of a crash, but the source text does not report any specific injuries or fatalities, fitting the 'High' criteria for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
Plain-English summary
Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and 2023-2025 HUSK-e terminal trucks. The recall affects 1,378 vehicles in total.
The hazard warning lights on these vehicles may turn off when the ignition is in the 'Off' position. This failure means the lights cannot warn other drivers of a disabled vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash. The defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
OEV field service will install a new hazard light wire harness and update the software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed by November 24, 2025. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-07.
