Volvo electric and hybrid models can lose braking in one-pedal mode
Volvo is recalling certain electric and plug-in hybrid models because the vehicle may lose brake function while coasting downhill in "B" mode or One Pedal Drive. Owners are told not to use those modes until repaired.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: the source states the vehicle may lose brake function outright in a defined driving scenario, and owners are told to stop using the affected drive modes.
