Volvo electric and hybrid models can lose braking in one-pedal mode
Volvo is recalling certain electric and plug-in hybrid models because the vehicle may lose brake function while coasting downhill in "B" mode or One Pedal Drive. Owners are told not to use those modes until repaired.

NHTSA states that a loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.
Until the repair is complete, owners are advised not to use "B" mode on plug-in hybrids or One Pedal Drive on pure electric vehicles. The brake module software will be updated over the air or by a dealer, free of charge. Owners may contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
