Volkswagen Group of America (Audi) is recalling certain 2022–2024 Q5 and Q5 Sportback Quattro vehicles due to cylinder head cover screws that may loosen, causing oil leaks and increasing fire risk. Dealers will inspect and replace the screws at no charge.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The hazard (fire risk from oil leakage) represents a risk of serious harm in vehicles, and the source text describes a structural/mechanical defect affecting the engine. No reported injuries or deaths are documented in the source, so the score is High rather than Severe or Critical.
