2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz Brake Warning Light Display Malfunction
Volkswagen is recalling 2025 ID. Buzz vehicles for a brake warning light that may display incorrectly. The instrument panel software will be updated by dealers at no cost.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2025 ID. Buzz vehicles. The brake system warning light on the instrument panel may display with an incorrect symbol and color.
An incorrectly displayed brake warning light can fail to alert the driver to important brake system information, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. These vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 135 (Light Vehicle Brake Systems) and 101 (Control and Displays).
Approximately 5,637 vehicles are affected by this recall.
Owners should contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298 to schedule service at their dealer. Dealers will update the instrument panel software at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 6, 2025.
