Nissan is recalling certain 2025 Sentra vehicles because the driver's seat frame may not be fully secured to the seat track. This could affect the seat's ability to restrain the driver during a crash.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This is a structural defect affecting a critical safety system (driver seat restraint), but no injuries have been reported. It meets the High (Score 3) criterion: a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported.

Plain-English summary

Nissan North America is recalling certain 2025 Sentra vehicles. The driver's seat frame may not be fully secured to the seat track.

This defect violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 207 (Seating Systems) and 210 (Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages). An unsecured driver's seat may not adequately restrain the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Approximately 199 vehicles are affected. Nissan began mailing owner notification letters on May 1, 2025. Owners should contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 to schedule service.

Dealers will inspect and replace the driver's side lower seat frame assembly as necessary at no cost. For additional information, owners can contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171).
