Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles that were previously repaired incorrectly under recall 23V-848. These vehicles may experience rear turn signal failures. When a rear turn signal stops working, the body control module fails to adjust the turn signal flash rate frequency to alert the driver that a failure has occurred.

This defect violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, which governs lamps and reflective devices. A nonfunctioning exterior turn signal cannot adequately notify other drivers that the vehicle is turning, significantly increasing the risk of a collision.

The recall affects 1,635 vehicles. Ford will provide a free software update to correct the body control module programming. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 27, 2025.
