Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Torque travel trailers equipped with optional Onan 5.5 generators. The recall addresses a defect where the generators may not be properly vented, which can allow the generator to overheat or prevent exhaust gas from escaping properly.
The defective venting increases the risk of fire due to generator overheating. Additionally, trapped exhaust gases inside the trailer can increase the risk of injury to occupants.
Dealers will correctly route the generator venting free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 18, 2024. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
