Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC is recalling certain 2024 Eddie Bauer travel trailers. The recall addresses a defect where the tire placards indicate an incorrect tire size. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
The incorrect tire size information on the placards can allow the installation of incorrect tires on the trailer. This increases the risk of a crash.
Heartland will mail out replacement certification labels free of charge to correct the issue. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 14, 2024. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
