Plain-English summary
Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain 2025 Oshkosh Defense NGDV ICE vehicles. The recall addresses a defect in the wiring harness connector where terminals may have been deformed during supplier testing. This deformation can result in an insufficient electrical connection, which may cause the air bags not to deploy as intended in a crash.
Air bags that fail to deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Oshkosh will inspect and replace the electrical connectors, or replace the wiring harness as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 9, 2024.
Owners may contact Oshkosh's customer service at 1-800-392-9921. Oshkosh's number for this recall is NGDV_TSB-001. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
