Volkswagen Atlas occupant detection wiring may deactivate the passenger airbag
Volkswagen is recalling certain 2020-2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles because a wiring fault in the passenger occupant detection system may deactivate the front passenger airbag.

Dealers will replace the PODS sensor mat and wiring harness free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 30, 2024, with further letters mailed in phases from October 18, 2024.
