Plain-English summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2020 Atlas, 2020-2023 Atlas Cross Sport, and 2021-2023 Atlas FL vehicles. The electrical contacts in the front door wiring harness may corrode, disrupting the electrical connection needed for airbag deployment.
A delayed airbag deployment during a side impact crash increases the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.
