Altec aerial device feeder tubes may leak and cause uncontrolled boom movement

Altec is recalling certain 2020-2024 LR7 and LR8 aerial devices because a hydraulic cylinder feeder tube may become damaged and leak oil, which can result in uncontrolled boom movement.

Altec will replace the cylinder rest pad and the feeder tube if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed July 22, 2024.
