2018-2022 Land Rover Range Rover and Sport rearview camera failure

Vehicles with this defect fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, which requires functional rear visibility. A rearview camera image that does not display while driving in reverse decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash when backing.

Approximately 58,729 vehicles are affected by this recall across model years 2018-2022.

Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and either add a new seal or replace the camera at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 4, 2024 (Range Rover) and March 7, 2024 (Range Rover Sport). Range Rover Sport owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts are available.
