2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty rear axle shaft defect

If the rear axle shaft breaks, the vehicle may experience a loss of drive power or rollaway when placed in park. Either condition can increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the affected rear axle shaft at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 17, 2023. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
