Newmar Motorhomes: Improperly Connected LPG Service Valves Risk Propane Leaks
Newmar is recalling certain 2022 and 2021-2023 motorhomes due to improperly connected LPG service valves that may leak propane. A leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase fire risk.

Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2022 Mountain Aire, Dutch Star, and Ventana motorhomes, as well as 2021-2023 Bay Star and Canyon Star models, and 2022-2023 Kountry Star and Bay Star Sport motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG (propane) tanks may be improperly connected.
An improperly connected service valve can result in a propane leak. In the presence of an ignition source, a propane leak can increase the risk of fire.
Approximately 1,060 motorhomes are affected by this recall. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 30, 2022. Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves free of charge. Owners should contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
