Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2019-2020 Bay Star and Ventana motorhomes, 2019 Ventana LE, 2020 Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Kountry Star, and Super Star motorhomes, and 2021 Bay Star Sport motorhomes. These vehicles are equipped with a Dometic 3-burner cooking stove. Approximately 710 units are affected.

The problem is that the stove's saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened. This can damage the o-ring seal, causing a continuous gas leak. A gas leak increases the risk of fire.

Owners should contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300 for a free remedy. Newmar dealers will install a kit consisting of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels. The recall began January 18, 2021.
