2022 Rivian R1T front passenger seat airbag may not deactivate for children

The OCS may fail to deactivate the front passenger airbag when a child or child seat occupies the front passenger seat. As a result, a child in the front seat may be at greater risk of injury in the event of a passenger airbag deployment during a crash.

Rivian Service Centers will replace the front passenger seat at no charge. Owner notification letters were sent beginning July 6, 2022.
