Ford E-350 and E-450 Power Steering Hydraulic Defect Recall
Ford is recalling certain 2021-2022 E-350 and E-450 vehicles with dual rear wheels due to inadequate power steering line connections. This defect may cause sudden loss of power steering fluid, resulting in loss of steering and brake assist.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021 and 2022 Ford E-350 and E-450 vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels due to a defect in the power steering hydraulic system. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake Hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid.
A sudden loss of power steering fluid can cause a loss of power steering and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Approximately 44,219 vehicles are affected.
Owners were notified by letter beginning March 18, 2022. Dealers will inspect the connection between the power steering lines and Hydroboost unit, and replace the power steering lines as necessary, free of charge. Owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to schedule service.
