Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2022 Cherokee toy hauler vehicles because the Tire and Loading Information placard label may display incorrect rim specifications. Vehicles with this defect fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 120 (Wheels and Rims) and 567 (Certification).
If a vehicle operator uses the placard to select replacement tires, they may install tires that do not fit properly on the rim. Improper tire installation increases the risk of a crash.
This recall affects approximately 82 vehicles. Forest River mailed owner notification letters on February 8, 2022. The manufacturer will provide a free replacement placard by mail.
