Plain-English summary
Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2018 XLR ToyHaulers, specifically models XLT23KW and XLT23KW-W. The recall involves 34 vehicles where the Federal Placard may not provide the correct tire and rim combination information. The placard should specify ST225/75R15/E tires requiring 80 PSI and 16X6.0JJ rims. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
If the placard information is incorrect, operators may install the wrong size replacement tires, which can increase the risk of a crash. Forest River will notify owners and provide a corrected Federal Placard free of charge. The recall began on September 5, 2017.
