The recall addresses a defect where the Federal Placard incorrectly states that the rear tire pressure should be 50psi, whereas the tires should actually be inflated to 80psi. This error causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The incorrect information may cause the operator to underinflate the tires, potentially causing tire failure and increasing the risk of a crash. The recall began on May 31, 2017.
