The defect involves the connection between the brake pedal and the brake light switch, which may bind. This binding can cause the brake lights to illuminate continuously or fail to illuminate when the brake is applied.
Brake lights that do not operate as intended can cause confusion to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 835 units. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 21, 2022.
