Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2005-2021 A65, A70, A75, A72-T, A77-T, and A82-T aerial devices. The recall involves 1,977 vehicles where the lower and upper boom raise spools can shift after releasing the joystick or control interlock.

This defect can cause unintended movement of the lower and upper booms, which increases the risk of injury. Altec will install a jumper hose and check valve into the boomtip tank lines and replace the overcenter blocking cartridge with an internally referenced drain path, free of charge.
